Welcome to the VolunTEAM!

     Welcome to the Crookston VolunTEAM website! We like to think of ourselves as the “Little Engine that Could” (or at least thinks it can), because volunteer clearinghouse initiatives like this one are rarely found in communities as small as Crookston.

The students swam and played with the children while their parents, all of whom have spouses in the local National Guard who are serving a tour of duty in Bosnia, enjoyed some free time with their friends.

     Our mission is not to reinvent the wheel. Crookston is lucky to be home to numerous willing, dedicated and motivated volunteers who put their time and talents to good use in the community by providing outstanding service to agencies and organizations in need. The VolunTEAM simply exists to offer a convenient one-stop shop that helps make those community connections possible.

     We want the VolunTEAM to help get projects not only done, but done well. Whether you are interested in volunteering in Crookston or are a community agency or organization that relies on volunteers to get things done, the VolunTEAM is here to help!

     We hope your visit to our website, which was designed solely by students and staff as part of a Service Learning project at UMC, is a good one. To get started, just click a button on the left side of this screen and off you’ll go. Be sure to check out the Crookston Daily Times or www.crookstontimes.com, or listen to the Voice of the Valley, KROX 1260AM, for regular VolunTEAM project updates.
